Pre-Lab Questions
At the bottom of this page are all pre-lab questions as a single PDF attachment. You need only complete the pre-lab questions for whichever experiment you're about to start.
Each set of questions will probably take a few hours to complete and you're welcome to work through them as a team but the pre-lab author is the only one who will receive a grade on the assignment (see The Written Report for the various authorship roles).
As noted in the document, you should treat your answers to these questions as a memo to your supervisor and format them appropriately. I don't mind exactly how you format them as long as your answers meet the following minimum criteria:
They're in soft-copy form (submitted online only).
Your name (as author), section, and team number are clearly indicated at the top of the first page.
All work is shown, clearly organized, and legible.
You don't have to provide citations anywhere in the document and all printouts can be black-and-white. For questions that don't need written answers (e.g., download a book) you don't need to provide anything beyond a simple "Done" to indicate that you've done whatever was asked of you for that question.
Note: as of 1/06/24, the Prelab Questions have been updated and finalized for W24.
